Swedish Death Metal Encyclopedia Out Now
July 17 2008 at 01:03:44 AM Nicola Costantini's new, English-language encyclopedia of Swedish Death Metal is now on sale from the author. I'm quite tempted, but find it hard to surmount the $60 price tag. Still hoping to grab Ian Christe's re-issue of Daniel Ekeroth's Swedish Death Metal, which is due out in the next few weeks. If any readers are bold enough to get their hands on this one, please let us know how it is. From Costantini's myspace: Encyclopedia of the Svensk DödsMetall, only swedish acts of the old school Bajsligan league era 1988-1992. So what happened before 1988 is something like 'Before the creation of time' and what came after 1992 sounds like 'Who cares?'. The aim is to write dawn articles with full details of the demo-period giving photos of cover-tape to avoid maniacs to buy fakes especially from Ebay! ABSOLUTELY NOT a website, nor the typical zine, but a BOOK with same cut & paste zine feeling, the old way... It's printed in a professional way! The effort consists of 218 (T W O - H U N D R E D) black and white A4 pages (in english)!!! Order at the same address.
