Chris Gamble, in his occult Piledriver get-up, was at his hair raising best tonight : Pounding away and inciting the dedicated crowd of half drunk bangers and bangettes ! Jim Roe (of Incantation fame) displays in the greatest of ways, what beating on hollow coffins actually sounds like! Nothing but non-stop cowboy beat syncopation and decimation! Alex Bouks on guitar has been playing US MASTER dates for a while - I thought he was Eastern European first time I saw him out in LA.
Single string death metal riffs punctuated with the "wrong chord" dynamic parts creating head-
banging mayhem and otherworldly eeriness. Dynamics and great songcraft pushed the crowd to a frenzy. The new songs are great. These cats are back on the map !
Mortal Repulsion available now.
Your eyes are not decieving you. It's Alex and Jimbo again. For the record, Speckmann aint into American beer. "If you had Czech beer you'd know - that's why I'm drinking Jack Daniels !" said he.
In stark contrast to the banter from last year that was much more geared toward complaining, this
set was dedicated to raging! In self-deprecating honor, Mr. Paul introduced the jams something like "About one-hundred and seventy-two years ago I wrote a song called . . . " Two encores in, it was "Funeral Bitch" dedicated to Speckmann's father who, post-divorce succumbed to the corpulent wiles of, and subsequently betrothed, a Bible thumping diesel flab glacier of a wife - one whom he had to feed products daily. "Funeral Bitch" - a theme he harped on in LA last year - was dedicated to Ole Dad and the Sea Lioness. Man that must be a stinker ! At encore number three he made effort to report the REAL dates - "twenty-one years ago" to be exact - that "Pay To Die" was written by the mighty DeathStrike ! ! ! This time dedicated to the frothy fistbanger center stage with the Marine hairdo. Alex slayed leads. Jim pounded more coffins ! These dudes can't be commended enough
for playing two sets without flagging energy-wise in the least. The pulse, the reason, the effort:
Pounding obsession ! Non-stop aggression ! Power trio annihilation !
MASTER !
