Medieval, “Medieval”

Heavy metal is power. Power for what purpose? That feeling, the hair-raising feeling, is difficult to expand upon. Not just the impulse to grab an axe and smash the nearest jaw bone, but the feeling one could withstand such blows! The weakest runt cloaked in a spell of invincibility, becomes Richard Corben’s Den within minutes, treading earth with sword and shield in hand. Consider the sources. Robert E. Howard saw Cimmeria in his home state of Texas, having never physically ventured beyond its borders. These are worlds that exist and never existed. Fantasy projected on the past as well as the present. A soundtrack between ancient history and comic books which speaks of myths and legend and battles fought with steel.
