Lithuanian folks enjoying the not so dynamic shift from brook-side acoustic noodlin to scrotum sawin, bloodlettin nature fascist stuff not really at all like anything Varg Vikernes managed to create , which oddly never serves to deter a billion keyboard jockeys limp in the wrist for some sort of profound extrapolation of the aforementioned's oeuvre.
The mixture of "field recordings" and "Heathen Metal" is admittedly interesting. Crowing roosters. Chatting birds. Rushing, gurgling water. All swell signifiers. But they certainly aint ad hoc. They're necessarily contextualized in this historically static genre. It's a difficult thing to pull off. And that's why Sigrblot and L'Acephale are to be forever commended for their accomplishment(s).
Listening to music--i.e. passively receiving--shouldn't be a chore, which is why I'll buy the next beer and shot for the first gent that can tell me why it's necessarily a good thing to attempt to sound like Drudkh.
