If even the slightest remark proves enough to reignite the passionate argument as to who was the better vocalist / front man for Black Sabbath, this album should adequately settle the debate.

Thanks primarily to founder, bassist and main songwriter Leif Edling, Candlemass has rarely failed to deliver at least a competent album in their career. More than competent,
Death Magic Doom is a much improved, if hardly original effort from the band, returning now after a somewhat difficult transitional album with ex-Solitude Aeturnus vocalist Rob Lowe at the helm.
